8^th Annual 16″ Softball Tournament

For the past 8 years the Papa Hops Tournament has been a huge success all thanks to the fans and our wonderful community. Thousands of people have packed Kennedy Park in support of Papa Hops and the foundation that has been started in his honor.

This year’s tournament date is Friday, July 8th, and we have 32 teams along with using Kennedy Park, Mount Greenwood Park, and Beverly Park. At 7PM all games will be played at Kennedy Park. Pack your coolers, bring your family and head on up to the park for a fun afternoon/night of 16” Softball. Papa Hops will be smiling once again to see our community come together to support a great cause.

PAPA HOPS SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

ALL FIRST ROUND GAMES WILL START AT 4 PM.

Batting Practice will be allowed ONLY BEFORE THE FIRST ROUND GAMES.

Each team must hand in ROSTER AND A WAIVER for every player on the roster BY WEDNESDAY JUNE 28th. This is to help make it easier on the people running the tournament the day of and to make sure all participants are safe to play.

CAPTAINS BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR GUYS GETTING THERE ON TIME.

Due to the number of teams and the time restriction of this tournament, we will play some games in the first two rounds at Mt. Greenwood Park and Beverly Park. It is a random draw on who plays where so please understand that we have no say in where in you play first.

Only 2 Major Players allowed on each team. Please understand this is a charity tournament and we want to make it fun for everyone. If a team is making this an issue, or trying to bend the rules, a wait list team will replace them.

The drawing will be on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023 in the upstairs of McNallys @ 8 pm. EVERY TEAM MUST HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE THERE AND ALL ENTRY MATERIALS MUST HAVE ALREADY BEEN RECEIVED PRIOR TO THE DRAFT.

Pack your coolers, bring your lawn chairs, your family, and friends for a fun-filled night at Kennedy Park. There will be music, raffles, and a night of great softball under the lights!
